Domain Join Laptop

It is best practice to move the computers from the default folder to a different ou.

Domain join laptop. Then enter the name of the domain to join the computer and click ok. To join a computer to a domain. Enter the username and password you were provided and then click ok.

Enter the domain name and click next. The computer will take a while to contact the domain. When you join a computer to the domain it will by default go the computers folder.

The windows 10 domain wizard is changed a bit. Navigate to system and security and then click system. You should have the correct domain info but if not contact your network.

Now click on the advanced system settings link on the left hand side. Now click on the domain radio button and type in the name of the domain name that you want to join this computer to. Thankfully we can automate this with powershell when we join the computers to the domain.

Select about from the left pane and click join a domain. On the windows 10 pc go to settings system about then click join a domain. When the advanced system settings open switch to the computer name tab.

On the computer name tab click change. Joining a machine to a domain open computer and click on the system properties button. Domain join is old classical way of joining your windows 10 machine to your work domain.
