You will see on first line name of domain controller you are connected to as well as see a list of other available domain controllers in active directory.

Get domain controller name in windows cmd. You want to find out which dc is connected to your machine and how the client machine sees other domain controllers run this command. The find domain controller cmd command is executed through the command prompt in windows.

One very useful piece of information to know if you re working in large active directory implementation with multiple dc s and sites is to be able to determine which domain controller machines are authenticating against at any given time. Have the logged on user launch the command prompt on the target computer. An exact match domain is required to retrieve the information.
Using echo username will allow you create a script to identify the authenticating domain controller. Find current domain controller. See the figure below.
Hold shift and right click command prompt. See the figure below. You can grab the domain controller that the computer is currently connected to with these steps.
