Domain Knowledge Representation
Distinguish domain knowledge from the problem description and from advice and argue for the advantages of the explict use of domain knowledge.
Domain knowledge representation. Then we identify three classes of domain knowledge for which these advantages are most apparent and define a language dkel to represent these classes. Faceted knowledge representation originates from the vision of designing a knowledge representation system that is applicable to a variety of domains and suits a variety of users. Here the system will provide a flexible means of coding and displaying knowledge structures depending on adjustable internal or user defined facets.
In this research the studies on domain knowledge representation of computable building regulation compliance checking are reviewed in detail based on the literature in the last 50 years. But it is not necessary that we can represent all cases in this approach. A good knowledge representation system must possess the following properties.
The paper describes an object oriented frame based knowledge representation system aimed at unifying case specific and general domain knowledge within a single representation system. It is targeted at the representational needs that have emerged from research in knowledge intensive case based reasoning. We can easily represent heuristic or domain specific knowledge using this approach.
