Domain And Range Activity
In math we have our own vocabulary we use to ask these same questions.
Domain and range activity. They begin with an informal exploration of domain and range using a graph and build up to representing the domain and range of piecewise functions using inequalities. The set of possible outputs is called the range. Understanding the domain and range of functions will help students develop a deeper understanding of algebra and algebraic vocabulary.
In this activity students practice finding the domain and range of piecewise functions. There is a card sort at the end but students will need to understand domain and range in multiple representations in order to do this. Section 2 1 domain and range activity subsection 2 1 1 domain and range.
The set of inputs a function will accept is called the domain of the function. What kinds of input does a function accept.
